The inspiration of Giácomo Tomazzi sails through a number of waters. He can draw inspiration from the great masters of design like Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi and Sérgio Rodrigues. However, he can also be inspired by some corner in São Paulo, a city that welcomed him and that he does not tire of traveling in long walks in the downtown area. Architect and designer, Tomazzi was born in Itajaí, Santa Catarina. He studied architecture at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and industrial design at the State University. In 2005, he left Florianópolis for São Paulo, where he worked in many different offices until, in 2011, he opened his own studio and started to develop his own projects. Based on his ability to deal with indoor spaces, his furniture is extremely functional, but not less poetic, since, in parallel with an intense search for materials and forms, he never fails to provide his furniture a vintage style.

Diogo Giacomo decided to undertake a trip in time to design the line of products for the Breton collection. His destination was the 1950’s to 1970’s, the peak of the Bossa Nova, the musical movement that served as his inspiration. Thus, starting from circular forms and investing in rounded corners, the designer wanted to convey the idea of continuity, shelter and lightness that characterized the interior architecture produced in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro at the time.
