Bianca Barbato

All her knowledge comes from her hands-on experiences, developing her prototypes on her own and learning from her mistakes and successes. The career has flowed like this, spontaneously, like life, and it is good to have it this way. After all, for Bianca Barbato, experience is part of it. Born in São Paulo and a self-taught person, she founded her creation studio in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, where she lived for 7 years. Before that, she worked in the film industry. In 2009, she returned to São Paulo and, since then, she has not stopped producing single or serial pieces, involving herself in all work stages: from creation to sale. Her fresh and restless drawing comes from there and the direct contact with the materials with which she identifies herself. Bianca seeks to create furniture for the present time, while continuously exploring her chest of memories. Maybe that is why her pieces arouse so much nostalgia. Besides the desire to have them around.

Finding a fair balance between the accentuated geometry of her design and the nostalgic softness suggested by nautical strand braids is the most prominent feature in the Parquet furniture line designed by Bianca Barbato for Breton. It is a complete range of products - sofa, armchair, chaise longue and table - that meets one of the most important requirements of today's interior architecture: the possibility to move freely through indoor, outdoor or transitional spaces.
